Cant change resolution. Stuck on 800x600

When I set the 1920x1080 resolution in the game - Preferences - the game says I have to restart the game to change resolution. Game is restarted and there is still a resolution of 800x600. So i tried to do it in Settings.exe so i set resolution to 1920x1080 click on save and in game resolution is still 800x600. Is there any fix ?

arphy, you may be running into a bug that is current in the game. If you have a special character in your username for windows login, it won't be able to save your settings xml file. Its in the works for a patch. It normally saves the settings xml to C:\Users\<username>\Documents\etc etc... And the special character in <username> is not allowing it to save.

What some people have done in the mean time is either create another user with regular ASCII characters or using the Administrator account.
