Alt-Tab All Wonky Now

Before latest patch:  when I hit alt-tab (Windows 10) a fast mini-window would pop up allowing me to choose which window to open by holding alt and hitting tab the number of times needed.  Then a quick switch to the correct window. 

After latest patch:  I hit alt-tab and nothing happens for a spell.  Then the window glitches, flashes, and 'sometimes' switches to the correct window.  Other times it just sits there or moves to a different window instead of the next in line.

same. usually a black screen flash between. clunky.

Figgering it has to do with latest graphics resolution update in patch.

Similar experience here.

Say I have windows explorer, IE, and two WWIIOL sessions open.

While sitting at WWIIOL session 1, I hit Alt+Tab and nothing happens. Then release Tab (while still holding alt down) and I will get insta switched to either my Windows explorer or IE as my active window. Then hold Alt+Tab down again, now I get the Alt+tab switcher selection screen and while holding Alt down I can "Tab" through my open windows/applications as normal.

(Using 388.13 Nvidia drivers)

Its weird.. I have one computer that has the same issue you have described and another computer that doesn't have the issue. Trying to find out why.

I have two monitors.  I used to run TS3 in the second one and now run Discord.  I have the game's webmap in another tab with Discord.  When I log into the game, it erases most of the window on the second monitor, leaving only a sliver of the screen showing.  I can alt tab out of the game and restore Discord/webmap from the task bar at the bottom of my main screen, but then it erases it again when I click back onto the main screen to rejoin the game.  It's impossible for me to run Discord this way.

My win7 box and my win10 box behave differently. 

Win7 = works as intended. 
Win10 = I have issues.

Methinks whatever that patch was that adjusted the resolution to fit the screen is these causing issues.

I run Win7 and it's borked on mine.  I'm running the game on 1920 x 1080.  How about others who are having problems?  Could it be the resolution?  I'll have to try it on 1600 x 900 and report back.

I tried it on lower res and it's still doing the same thing.  I can't have anything stay on my second monitor if the game is running.  It erases most of it.  The game is only on the main screen, but it borks the second one anyway, probably just to be mean.

Sadly, this is an account-breaking issue for me.  I cannot properly alt-tab in/out of game with work tabs up (I work remotely from home and have work tabs active all day/night).  Also makes using multiple accounts useless.  If I can't fix, I'll have to drop my 2nd and 3rd accounts.  And possibly even my 1st (if I can't easily alt-tab from game to other tabs like work/discord/etc).

On the plus side:  this will save me lots of money!  ;^)

A ticket is open regarding the issue.. When it will be fixed, I don't know that answer, but we will be continuing improving and fixing graphic issues.

Is this video card specific at all?

i can open bunches of game instances and alt tab from game to game to chrome to discord with the only unwanted affect being once in a while windows will lose track of who should have the visible mouse pointer (or it rolls off the game and off onto other monitors), which a quick tab cycle rectifies.
But i have an AMD GPU on latest crimson drivers.

Ive nothing nVidia based to test against.

It should be in the next patch but we are finding that it’s functioning differently on different installs of windows. I am trying to research if there are any windows settings that may be effecting this issue as well. Hopefully it works for your specific circumstance..
