Forced Despawn SOLVED

Believe this to be a bug, heard in game a few others experiencing this also. Thought there would have been a thread on this already. But.......

Forced despawn due to connections........ for reference, highest-speed pipe thru cable. Modem is a Motorola doc sis 3.

I've never had any issues in the past, when we had the meter it's always 61-69ms ping, minimum loss on the bar.

Nothing has changed on my end except the new patch. Bar is at the "N" with minimum packet loss as seen by bar meter. No one has ever said I was warping, I die quite easily it seems :)

I tried a clean install and the PIA of resetting all my settings, rebooted both modem and router, bypassed router and straight into modem, don't use wifi anyway.

No matter what, I get forced despawn in 3-4mins....game is definitely not playable this way.

On my end game still works as before, no lag, warpin of myself nor anyone else is evident.

Any help or ideas would be deeply appreciated.

oh yea the -a is not a proper switch,,,, should be ping/a auth.playnet.com

Threw that out there in case others try and use the command line.

OK, old DOS guy, either will work.

are you in windows or mac? -a is valid for windows

PS C:\Users\Ron> ping -a auth.playnet.com

I'm use to my old dos days, no biggie.

BTW, Win 64 Ultimate

Just tried the game in early morn here (EST)

got a record breaking 6mins twice before being forced out.

Ran a continuous test and never breaks 70ms

Use the -n switch with a number to get more than 4 hops. I'd check it just after the game does the forced despawn.

 ping -n 100 auth.playnet.com   That'll do 100 hops.

Are you running with netcode3 enabled?  What is your vislimit setting set to?  Also - see my post on the other thread.

On mac, open network utility.

Type into the address space      auth.playnet.com

I'd suggest 100 pings.

click the ping button and let it run.

When done scroll to the bottom to see packet loss % and ping.

Did both there also, no difference. Every time in 3mins, like clockwork.

Tried it both ways, netcode enabled and disabled....again absolutely no difference, 3mins and out, can set a watch to it.

And as for vis limit, It does it all alone at quiet fb.

ping -n 250 auth.playnet.com

Open a command prompt and run the above. Should take around 4 and a half minutes to complete

Post results, just the minimum/max ping and loss %

I would look to try find out why you are having packet loss .... 2% may not seem like a lot but it maybe a clue

I just ran the 100 ping and this is my results ... i am from the northeast also and dont have any loss .  Maybe contacting your ISP and ask them to review your connection to them.

Maybe they will find something .... you pay for there service make sure you are getting what you pay for.

If you contact me directly frisbone@corneredrats.com I'd like to try and see if we can figure out what is going on in your specific situation.  Understanding what is going on in your situation could help others as well.  When you enabled netcode3 and eventually you say you were despawned, you must have lost netcode3 first - did you see that happen (chat log)?  Please contact me and I'd be happy to help you out.

Same issue. Don't use wifi, Windows Net Defender is only AV, GTX 980 i7 processor gaming desktop. Netcode3 enabled.

pinged playnet as suggested 250 hops, 48ms min, 61ms max,  Average 46ms 0% packet loss.
