Not a dumb question, and yes, I am. since its CABLE internet. I really dont have a choice on where the router goes, which is right next to the TV, which is not an area the PC can go to. Also the layout of the room will not allow me to run an ethernet cord to the router.

Nope, just one router on one cable.

You have a modem and a router separately?

Arris wireless router with a cable connection one box

weird they wouldn't continue the 10.x.x.x IP into the home but, in any case no double NAT there then.
That packetloss down at the end of the chain might be something to bring up to the ISP?

What does it look like with game not running, and on a wired connection if you can set one up long enough to test?
(ISP will probably ask you to do that anyways)

Is anyone streaming tv or videos while you are playing?

Ah that might be a bit of loss there. We do stream Roku in our living room. I could turn that off during play times but you know if the wife wants to watch TV i mean shes gonna watch TV. lol Nothing I can do there. Now about this NAT in my router settings it does say that routed with NAT is enabled. should i turn that off???

No, you need NAT if you are going to run more than 1 device on the internet, and also unless you can bridge the connection to the live IP

Can you at some point at least get the wife to let you just test with nothing else using internet?

Still, as far down the line as the bad loss is, im leaning towards a call to the ISP

Ha call the ISP? You do realize that's like trying to talk to a dictator right? Look man i can call and yell, scream, or just tell them i think their internet is [censored] HOWEVER all they would tell me is I mean basically tough [censored]. As of right now, I think Northland is the ONLY ISP in this area.

I mean this is all we get out here. Even when i call about actual connection lost or slow speeds i basically get told that its the only thing available. Only other option would be to reconnect to the office down stairs running their net from Ennis? No thank you lol Now that is a corporate line but we arent connected to that one, its AT&T and we are Northland. I have the only ISP offered with the highest service available for the area. So if thats not good enough to play on WWII online. Then i dont see why im still trying. So i mean im uninstalling the game. Cause there is nothing else i can do on my end. I say turn the thing off but its their development. I mean I love the game. but if it isnt tweaked a bit to allow guys like me to play then im afraid WWII online lost another player. Im also not saying its a bad system cause lord knows I scream the most about unkillable EI. It just seems im stuck in that grey area.....

One more thing before i finally give up. I have two wireless radios. One is 5Ghz and one is 2.5Ghz and theyre both on. Thats wouldnt cause a latency issue would it?

If that is Northland, and whats downstairs is AT&T, why are all the hops in your ping map AT&T?
Are you connected to the wrong wlan by chance?

Every hop out of your PC is AT&T, check the IP of the 3rd hop, the one that is not 10.x.x.x
That's an AT&T IP

First, I think it's great you guys are trying to help him and hopefully, you can. However, ultimately it will be incumbent upon CRS to come up with a solution to this issue or most people with this issue will simply stop playing (more on that in a sec). There are basically two types of players being impacted, 1) long-time players who've changed nothing with their internet connection and/or computer and still are being despawned since the patch and 2) newer players either trying the game or just getting into it.  Player 1 will try to jump through whatever hoops possible to resolve the issue and then and only then, give up if it can't be resolved. Player 2 will likely just move on to the next game, especially when being told his connection/cpu/gpu just can't handle the game. In both cases, we the player base lose.

I've played the game off/on since day one and am just coming back to it. After the patch, I'm now player 1 and have worked with @FRISBONEto try and fix the issue. At this point, it looks like an internet issue since my cpu/gpu is top notch, while the best internet connection I can get in this small town is 15mbps down and 2mbps up. While Frisbone assured me that 15/2 is plenty, the flakiness of the internet and my kids/wife sharing bandwidth with me is probably the issue. Mind you, I've never had any problem playing any MMO (yes I know all about the calculations required in this game vs. your average MMO) and player 2 probably hasn't either, so he just says the hell with it.

The real issue here is that CRS tried to fix one of their biggest, reported issues (unkillable players), but rolled out the patch before a real solution was available. By real solution, I mean that getting a KIA for a forced despawn only added insult to injury for the affected player and then telling him it's his fault only rubbed salt in the wound. I would wager that nearly all of the unkillable player-bugs are not hackers, but just players who have no idea they're unkillable and to punish them for a technical issue was just plain dumb. At a minimum, CRS should have given a forced despawn player a RTB or RES at the worst. Now the good news: Frisbone told me they are working to do just that ASAP (he said hopefully January) and that longer-term, they are working on a solution that doesn't force a despawn at all, but rather would put the player in some kind of suspended state for a period of time until/if the issue is resolved.

TLDR version: CRS dropped the ball introducing the Forced Despawn patch and is working to provide a temporary fix before longer-term measures are taken.

@fizzi

I know I've talked to you for a good while about these issues you've been having with your PC and your internet. We've talked about building you a new PC, but I know cash is tight. I'm not sure what your internet issue is other than it sucks. However, becasue I'm feeling jolly...I'd be willing to send you this...

It's my old PC that I do not use anymore. It's from 2011, so its a bit dated. However, it can run wwiionline and many other games with no-problems. It does not have a AMD Radeon 6750, as I upgraded it to something Nvidia but Idk what the hell it is - I'd have to check. It also doesn't have a HDD becasue I took it out to use elsewhere, so you'd have to buy one of those. @merlin51 once said to me when I offered him a computer...

No, that is very kind but save it for a spare, or donate it to someone who really really needs it.

I don't need a spare PC - so i'd be willing to donate it to you.

Those getting auto despawn that feel their connection is not the cause, if you can check your cpu temps to make sure it's not the cpu de-clocking because of overtemps.

This whole force despawn if far too unforgiving, it needs to be less strict, you're going to lose a lot of customers with this nonsense, yes There were laggers, but they were extreme cases, just relax parameters a little.

The game is almost on its last legs and trying to alienate its player base.

They have been relaxed several times.. As we said in the other post, contact @FRISBONE with those details and he will investigate the issues that may be particular in your situation.

Also. I just read bmw2's post and all I have to say is this:

I LOVE YOU YES I WILL LONG LIVE THE WINDHUND SQUAD. Best guys around. I mean i get the freedom to be the run around guy helping where needed. I was just made a recruiter so I can help get new guys into the game properly, and now a possible solution to my problem! I mean now I can have something to not only keep playing the game that ive come to really love to play but to also do what ive wanted to do and get back into school and start learning how to do model and design. Not just gaming either. I'll be exploring other areas.

Best squad ingame! S!

And yet have you contacted frisbone?

This will help make the parameters more.efficent for all. Take the time to email.him and work with him, discovery can be done on both ends. Just saying to arbitrarily change the parameters to meet your needs without knowing all the variables is not the best method
