Details of Forum operations here? Gravatar VS upload avatar

If things go well my .sig should tell the tale.
Was surprised that I could upload image into .sig but had to access gravatar for Profile. Which means changing EMail which means re-activation of my acct.

I use imgur for my sig. Gravatar for my avatar. Add another email (the one you use here) to your gravatar. 

Is that what your looking for? How to add a sig & avatar?

"Edit" was blocked for "22 seconds" because fixing a typo is considered "new post"? Also ... I saw neither "Save" nor "Update".
Not being snarky but ... 2018 and I'm hitting entropy online. heh I already have plenty of entropy on my desk!

I have a gravatar. (And have had since that service started.) It is associated with my EMail address. The EMail address here isn't that one. So that would mean changing my EMail address here. Which, the message reads, requires acct reset.

Your making this harder than it has to be. 

Go create an account on imgur if you'd like. It takes 2 min max. Upload a pic of whatever you want to be your signature. Then copy and paste the BB code into your signature space - boom singature. 

On gravatar you have the option of adding other email addresses to your account, like the one you use here. Once you do that you will be able to use an avatar. I have 3 different email addresses on gravatar - all for different forums with different avatars.
