Miles per hour to Kilometers per hour. Not the same.

I brought this subject up before and DOC went ballistic and locked the post.

When driving ANY truck, they all show on the speedometer approx. the same. 45 (K or M?) per hour.

But that cant be right. Some vehicles are measuring 45K per hour and a few are doing 45 miles per hour.

The brit vehicle is in MPH. If they are doing 45mph (72.4kph) in a Laff. and you put French vehicle (Laff.) they do the same speed.

BUT, the French Laff. shows on the speedometer 45kph. So that aint right. That would be 27mph. or the Fr.Laff. should show 72kph.

So, the Britt. (MPH) speedometer needs changing or the KPH speedometers  need to reflect the appropriate speeds.

As it stands the MPH vehicle should be doing 3x faster than the KPH vehicles.

I know it is a little confusing.

The last time I checked this was the speeds on a flat city tile. Laffy, Morris and Beddy speedos are MPH. Opel is Kmph. They read correctly as to if mph or kmph.

Morris  47.5mph/76.5kmph
Opel   50.9mph/81.9kmph
Beddy  45.8mph/73.8kmph
Laffly  44.7mph/72kmph

OLDZEKE, but if you put the vehicles side by side and had a race. They would all do approx. the same speed. The speedometers would not reflect that.

The Laff. shows KPH, but it doesn't register what you have shown (Laffly  44.7mph/72kmph). Now I have had a Laff go that fast down hill back in the day.

My argument is that the dial on the speedometer does not show what is really going on. A MPH vehicle at 45 MPH should be going really fast in comparison to

the 45 KPH vehicle. All vehicles register APPROX. 45 on the dial, whether it is KPH or MPH. Yes this is something minor. But it is still incorrect.
