Sight was zeroed. I can upload a video of the ordeal. Seems it was some graphics glitch. Altitude was 5000 meters.

I wasn't able to replicate it on my machine (Im a Mac user).. @OLDZEKE can you check on PC? I took a DB7 up to same settings you had and was on same heading and altitude and was able to see the ground with no issue. Can you provide you gaming rig specs as well?

F10 key changes fog scale distance. Orginally this was a FPS/performance aide. I've asked a time or 2 to have that key reassigned as I doubt it's ever used intentionally.

That's what has happened with the OP, he has hit f10 key a time or 2.

I hate that f10 thing...I was just trying to find it in the keymapper to disable it and couldn't find it. 

Is there any way to disable it? Or reassign the key? I can't even find that.  I end up hitting it when I try to take a screenshot and it's a pain in the arse.

Have to look in keymapper.
It does not work for me (fog does not change) but i think that could be because F10 is already trapped
before game launch by another program?

keymapper, left side... General category.

Right side, Offline external-section..... Change field of view

I'm gonna try and get that defaulted to a combo key,  right ctrl+f10
