Missing Marks On Map & Minimap

I brought my 11 year old son into the game for the first time, over the weekend.  He was playing on my odonovan2 account.  His screen wouldn't show any marks of enemy activity on his full map or minimap.  His map settings are on default.  Is there something we're doing wrong?  They're still showing up just fine on my maps.

No clues?  Help, guys!  I want my son to be able to get ingame and enjoy it without having to play half blind.

check and make sure tooltips are on
i remember turning them off somehow in game once by accident and it messed up marks etc

Strange...  I replied to this last night and my reply has disappeared.  Here we go again. 

 

Thanks for the idea, Merlin.  I checked, and his tooltips are on.  I'll try getting him back ingame and see if it was possibly a one time glitch.  If not, it's back to the drawing board.

No marks are visible if mission is just created in a busy town - could be 50 existing marks, none will be visible to new mission.

Marks after mission creation are then all visible.
