From 9:55 on Ryan's livestream, earlier today...

 

 

Yes, that's a Stuka flying through the ground.  It successfully pulled out of its dive, just a FEW feet too late, and continued its attack.  Wha Tha FUH???

Pretty much.
If i see an object moving in 3rd person, and it gets very close to another object, my updates from that object
might fall a bit latent for various reasons that may have nothing to do with me, and the predictor will attempt to smooth the movement out, and i may see it appear to have moved through another object.

Sometimes does appear a bit visually odd, but it is better than things rubberbanding which just kind of feels like having a seizure.
Not to mention you cant hit a thing that is rubberbanding.

On the upside, if i shoot said object, even if it's visual position is a bit askew from its actual position, long as my client says i fatally nailed it, it dies.

If you watch a bunch of planes landing at an AF, you will occasionally see some appear to submarine also, though the pilot had a perfect landing
in 1st person.
