Trouble playing two instances since patch

When running two instances of the game on one computer since the patch, I have had trouble.  Both instances will run and I can spawn in, but once I spawn in the controls in either instance may or may not work. Seems random, but who knows.  Always worked for me before the patch, never a problem.

Hm.. odd one that. I was usually running 3 accounts when testing it and didn't notice any issues with the controls. Just out of interest what are you running it on, PC, or Mac, and is that the normal version or the Steam one.

If it is the PC one what version of Windows are you running.

 

If I can I'll try to replicate it and see if I can get the same thing to happen, then I can ticket it and pass it on to the devs.

might right click the exe, go to compat options and disable windows 10 full screen optimization which actually forces the game into a borderless window

I reloaded the latest version and updated windows.  The problem is that the controls don’t work in one of the instances.

OK.  I figured it out.  Before the patch, I could alt-tab between windows and could use the controls immediately.  Now when I alt-tab, it goes to the desktop and I have to click on the window i want to play (which is taking up most of the screen after the alt-tab).  Not sure why this is happening (what in the game or windows changed) but it is a bit annoying.

That has been going on with me for several years. I usually hold alt-tab and it brings up the icons and you can switch between them. Between discord, chrome, my twitch channel and two instances it can get out of order.
