Air Kills/Deaths Issues

How exactly are kills/deaths determined for air sorties? Flew a Ju87 mission today, got plinked a couple times by a Spit but no major damage, flew to nearest town and landed for Rescue as I had to log off quickly for IRL stuff. AAR screen shows I have a named killer, stats page shows a death.

Not sure if this is a bug or just an issue with scoring. If I were to get damaged on a mission but otherwise am fine, fly all the way back to an AF for RTB to save the aircraft for spawn list but get a "death", does this remove the vehicle from the spawn list as a true kill? Seems very problematic if so.

If you have been plinked 1 min before and you exit your vehicle in the ensuing minute. The plinkee gets awarded a kill. It is a safeguard against people that ditch after plinks to avoid a killer.

If you actually land on AF and get RTB, then it doesn't matter whether you were plinked or not, you will get RTB and no killer. But otherwise...

Sort of.

I have been plinked in my HE 111 (yes and by you, usually with you that HE 111 is dead ha ha), but  I have rib'd, not sure about rescue....and the kill has been awarded to someone. Nursed home 109's had the same thing happen.

Only meant non-critical scenarios in that post and mostly for fighters. With bombers there are a few more factors involved.

But with that happening to you in 09s. It must only be if a) your pilot is hurt beyond a certain point  b ((dunno why "b)" is an emoji but k) ) engine was hurt to a point that when you turned it off upon landing it quit and then it'll give the person that hit you last kill credit. That is why if my engine is ticking I never turn it off. Only throttle down.

Besides these two scenarios the only killer you should see upon landing is Enemy Forces if you get plinked by AI sometime but that is just a bug. ( Just made me realize how long that thing has been without being fixed) B) > new emoji I learned exists. This'll be a godsend for my dating life if it works on Tinder too cuz who doesn't like sunglasses?
