DD spawns Rotterdam N and S

Rotterdam N and S have deep water ports right now.

Atm N one is axis and S one is allied.

North DD spawn point is facing W. South DD spawn is facing N.

Currently allied DDs can spawn ... turn their torp launchers a bit to then left and then spam torps  at the DD spawn of Rotterdam N. Since they are in dock range and get resupplied ... they can do it forever.

The DDs spawning at N have no chance at all. Turrets turn too slow ... engine/speed takes too much time until you can effectively evade ... and torp launcher is facing W like the whole ship. A salvo of 1-8 torps sinks your DD instantly.

This situation is pretty unfair and unbalanced for the DDs spawning at the N dock area no matter if axis or allies

Both ports should become small ones ... or at least 1 of them. Next deepwater port is 10km W at Pernis

I agree on your comments about DDs.

However I think it would be just as unfair to let one of the ports spawn DDs.

Spawn DD, sit and snipe spawning FMB until you need a coffee.

I suggest the N spawn is facing E and the S spawn point is facing W. Then both ships has to swing starboard with their guns and torpedos to bear.

This situation is just the latest goofy outcome of the original publisher-rushed CRS addition of naval fighting to the game.

Having line of sight on a dock at which a warship pops into existence is just weird.

Yes, it's a game, and there has to be a mechanism for customers to bring game-objects into the game world so they can fight. But, spawning gets more and more unrealistic as the spawned object gets bigger. And, spawning from a fixed point always leads to the unrealism of spawn camping, but even that absurdity becomes silly when it involves destroyers and gunboats.

DD spawning should be like an airfield , if it is a front line town it should have spawning disabled and only allow FMB's

In my world is a deep port always a front line port. Any enemy can sail there and start camping. Especially when it can be predicted that the port will be used to spawn from.

Naval vessels would be a good starting point for a new spawn system to eliminate this kind of camping.

Spawning would occur at an automatically selected location as close as possible to the player preferred point, but meeting requirements including not being within sight of any enemy unit.
