During the desperate battle of Schilde, allied troops found themselves down to just 1 cp and risked losing the town and bouncing troops back to basic training. During this time, Kilemall stepped forward in the recapture of town guiding troops to and from cp's securing every other depot in the town, leading to the eventual bounced AO after the recapture of the bunker. For his efforts he has been awarded the Combat Merit Brigade Recognition.
