Axis Valor Awards.............the Iron Cross

The Iron Cross is the most iconic of all Axis awards, as more than 4.5 MILLION of them were awarded during WW2. They are progressive, meaning that if the soldier wins IC 2nd close (beginning level) and displays valor on another occasion and earns another Iron Cross, he is then awarded the Iron Cross, First Class, and so on. There are/were 9 distinct levels for the Iron Cross, and only 1 was ever awarded to level 7. 

At this time, the approval process is an HC officer witnessing the valorous act. Here is where the experience of each officer comes into play as to what is valorous and what is not, what degree of difficulty etc. All the HC officer has to do is to let me know either thru pm, the forum or in slack the award they want to issue (this may change as the game mechanics evolve.....currently awards on both sides are a manual process only)
