voice communication problem

How do I make it so i can use it by pressing a key? I know it's the V key and another key for area, but I noticed my mic was constantly on (voice activated). How do I turn that off?

There is no voice activated option.  I suspect you left the "test" button active on the in-game panel?  Try toggling it off.  But in general PTT is the only option and there are two mappings that trigger it: One for the radio, and one for area chat (you can set them to what you want but they default to lshift-V, and V respectively.

Its also possible you have a mapping conflict with those keys and you are accidentally triggering it with how you are playing.  But my money is on the test button.  Map->IVC->Test button
