As of today, it has been 22 years since I joined WWII Online. I started on July 16th 2002 as a 14 year old, and I'm now 36. I will continue to fight for its success and I am extraordinarily blessed to have a great community, and so many folks who have helped the project and I along the way.

This has been one of my greatest honors and I have learned so much. There would be too many names to state, but you know who you are - thank you. And most importantly to our WWII Online gaming community who has remained faithful, through thick and thin, we couldn't have made it this far without you.

I am reflecting a lot today on the years of experiences and the possibilities ahead. It brings me joy to know that we took something that was at extraordinary risk and doubled its lifetime from when it was expected to fail.

That, is a hell of a thing. One day, perhaps, I may write a book about all this so you can see everything that has happened from my eyes. It might surprise you what it has taken to keep this all going. I can tell you the keyword here is, "faith." WWII Online has many promising days ahead, maintain the faith and our team at Playnet/CRS will continue to pursue the future, however that may finally shake out to be.

As we say, "S!"

Gratefully yours,

Matt "Xoom" Callahan

Here's an interesting video recently put together by Boogie5 that may shed some more information on some of that risk and how things came to be:
