I can NOT get the game to recognize my new Logitech/Saitek X56 HOTAS. The game detects neither of them and I have used the following information with no success. Windows detects both items and the logitech software is installed and detected. In addition, I have selected both devices to run on older programs.

I have read and tried some 20 different methods of driver installs without success in WWIIonline.  https://discord.com/channels/109711380180926464/1251330359963156601/1251330359963156601 and https://discord.com/channels/@me/1404968624791224522/1406638708119306331

It is really frustrating to see it work in Windows and other games but be detected in WWIIonline. I also submitted a support ticket several days ago, but have heard nothing.  Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

<tap> <tap> Is this thing on?  No response here, no response from my support ticket(S), no response from posts on Discord?  If I hear nothing in the next few days, I'll just send the gear back and cancel my WWIIonline subscription.  I just want to fly and it shouldn't take days to get any type of response from company.  Panda is the only player to actually point me to posts that I had already viewed.

I responded to your post in the help section of discord. This is an old and known issue that unfortunately doesn't have a concrete workaround from what I gather, but there are a couple success stories through random processes you can dig up. Recommend using google to search as the built-in search in these forums is.. less than useful.

As an aside - your setup is quite overkill for what the game offers. If you make no headway and really want to fly, pick up a Logitech 3D Pro off of Amazon for $35. It is all you need to be successful and enjoy the air game in this game.

Jester,

Thank you for responding.  As of this post, I have heard nothing from CRS.  I figured they might care enough to try and help me and anyone else who might consider this stick for game play.

Yeah, from what I was able to find, which isn't a lot, it is hit or miss getting this stick to work.  When I played, years ago, I used a CH throttle, stick and pedals and really enjoyed tweaking those controllers for best performance and key map functions.  I figured it wouldn't be to hard to replicate that setup, but guess I was wrong.

As for the 3D Pro, do you have any other recommendations when it comes to throttles and pedals?

For anyone stumbling upon this down the road, this issue was solved via Discord, player Myg figured it all out. Image below is what to do - in Windows Device Manager, under Human Interface Devices, disable the X56 HOTAS Stick and X56 Throttle. The X56 Stick/Throttle HDI and USB should all remain active.
