Macintosh - frozen on spawn - unable to move

Recommended Posts

Couldn't move

Couldn't despawn

No key presses did anything.

Mouse was ineffective in doing anything.

I was unable to move at all.

Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo

Processor Speed: 2.16 GHz

System Version: Mac OS X 10.5.5 (9F33)

iMac - 20" screen

Chat worked, but that was all.

Text on screen was bracketed with "?" and ended with "?"

both times had to shut down system and reboot.

I'll try it on my laptop next.

Happened to me first time I launched.

All Unit selection headers had:

Or something like that.

When I spawned, no mouse or keyboard input for movement.

I just Command-Q-ed, relaunched and no problems. I figured it was a "first-time-launch-bug".

Deleted WW2OL from my system - both gold(?) and the beta version.

Removed the "ww2ol" pref folder

Downloaded the beta only

Does the same thing. Still frozen when you spawn in. Can't move

Loaded game on MacBook Pro 17"... running Leopard same as iMac

Took screen shots, if anyone is interested, on the "weird" "?persona.list.blabla?" stuff.

It sounds like you lucked out and logged in right at the server was coming down. Not sure why the client doesn't handle it more gracefully.
