Weird FPS issue in Deist

This is a weird one...

I'm in the bunker at Deist. If I look south my FPS drops to 2-4 FPS but if I turn just 15-20 degrees left or right, it bounces right back up. This happens whether I'm staring at the wall or looking out the window. It only happens facing south though and no other direction has this effect. I have screenies if interested but I'll have to wait until I get home to post them.

I had this of drop in FPS whilst out around an FB it was also reported by another squaddie of mine.

The direction was east in my case and the only thing that seemed like it could be causing the drop (40 frame drop) was the sun, as soon as the glare is starting to draw the frames drop and when the sun was fully in screen the full drop occurs.

This might just be my perception of the events but it's a theory none the less :)

Scratch that sun theory/paranoia.

It must have been a location thing (which i did a .report on)

These are almost universally the result of abject drawing in the view port. Chack your map next time this happens and see if there is a city on the horizon possibly coming into the scene. This may happen beyond your view distance sue to the way that terrain is loaded in the distance.
