Please report the details of any smart heap errors, not just that they happened. This is actually a good thing, makes it easier to fix.

where are you spawning in area vehicle type? By chance was it near antwerp?

Doesn't look like it's area or type of unit dependant. Any type, any place causes the same error.

Mem usage goes from 1,4 G to 2,6-2,7 G when loading, then when I try to spawn, it crashes.

I don't think I'll be able to reproduce that I'm afraid. My boss will lynch me if I put in an RPO for an $8k Mac.

Let me see what the coders have to say.

I've been playing it for months and never had one so at this point I'll take any feedback you can give. How about...

  • Operating System with version number
  • how much memory do you have
  • are you doing anything funky to run the game
  • what motherboard do you have and are the bios and drivers up to date?
  • do you ever see any other oddities when using your computer
  • have you run a successful memtest?
  • Is there something you are doing repeatedly in a play sessino that can reproduce these errors?

Here's my stuff:

  • Vista Home Premium (No SP1)
  • 2GB of DDR2
  • No funkyness involved.
  • MSI P35 Neo-F, all bios and drivers are up to date
  • Sometimes when I use my mouse is ghostly moves around (In all programs)
  • What's a Memtest?
  • No scenario, I just spawn in and after about 5 minutes I run out of memory.

Whenever you report something "weird" or screwy happening you must include that kind of information or we have nothing to examine in the search for your problem. This is just a general reminder for ANYONE wanting to participate in the Open Beta Testing and have our focus here placed on any issue they find.

Without the info, we can't really begin to debug what it is you are reporting. JFYI for all.

PS: thanks for the info! :D

Does this happen at every spawn location? Or at a specific spawn location? Can you spawn OFFLINE?

Every spawn, tried several different ground troops and airforce units.

Offline works ok, although there are some graphicals glitches (letters missing from words, ammo counter not showing type of ammo)

The solution is to pack up that nice mac and send it to me :-)

Do you need my Apple Cinema HD 30" display too?
