We noticed this in the live server and I went to the Beta to see if it worked the same way.

When you type ".hc +test" it set the .hcmotd to test, not sure if this is intended, but I never seen it documented anywhere.

I would call it a bug actually as it destroys the hcmotd without people intending to do it and not being intuitive.

example:

Lets say we have a long detailed hcm.

.hcmotd RO: officer1 MAP: anotherofficer LW: - KM: - : Movement plan: 20 ID on the move south together with 4Pz to cover area around Liege. (etc etc)

officer 1: .hc how many are in Breda?

officer 2: .hc I am there

officer 3: .hc +1

this would change the .hcmotd to the text 1 and destroy all info that was contained there. I know we are at a feature freeze but it would be nice if the hcmotd was not setable at all with a . command but rather you had a textbox inside the GUI where you could edit the current text.

Ok I'll ticket that request #3922.

Probably just to remove that functionality. Any opinions?

Yeah it really serves no purpose so if its easy it can be removed.
