Friendly Fire!

I can't understand why this is not in the game. I see threads that extend into multiple pages in regards to "realism" such as the Infantry sprint/turn argument. The infantry model has always been awful in WWIIOL and it looks to be getting worse in 1.31 in order to make it "more realistic".

Yet we can still blow hell out of a building and the friendly troops inside are unharmed. Nothing would make the game more "realistic", not too mention totally change the way it's played than friendly fire. Is friendly fire ignored to add to the fun factor?

But to answer the question, there is not remotely enough coordination of forces to reduce friendly fire. There are some systems that have it (Planetside) but our problem is that our play elements aren't fantasy damage sponges. There's no point where you can say "don't shoot again or your in trouble" where the target isn't already likely dead.
