Memory leaks don't necessarily have anything to do with how much memory you have. If the program uses more than 1.7GB of memory it will crash.

Most of those a re connection logs. Here's the good stuff:

File version: 1.34.9

GL Vendor: ATI Technologies Inc.

Renderer: ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series

C++ Exception: class std::bad_alloc 'bad allocation' at address 767DB9BC

OS-Version: 6.1.7601 (Service Pack 1) 0x100-0x1

That particular crash is very rare but there are several like it. What version is your video driver?

I saw Doc say in game they located the memory leak. Any idea on a timeline for the fix yet?

I CTD fairly consistantly flying in certain areas or long flights.

AMD Radeon 6900 series 2GB

Windows 7 64 bit

8 GB ram

I'll test that ATi issue. I used to get this on my main machine (ati) but haven't tested my secondary (nvidia).

Also interesting to note if the beta, which has ati fixes in it has the issue. Off to test.

I'm getting the same thing on ATi and nVidia. But I'm not certain there isn't another CTD you guys are talking about.

The memory leak happens as you load terrain by mocing places. You can literally watch the task manager and see that as it approaches 1.7GB it crashes.

Win7

Renderer: ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series

Access violation: Illegal read by 006367FD at 682D169C

WinXP

Renderer: GeForce GTX 260/PCIe/SSE2

C++ Exception: class std::bad_alloc 'bad allocation' at address 7C812AFB

I did get 2 very different logs from those crashes but both crapped out at ~1.7GB. The XP box took a lot longer to get there though.

So now I'm wondering what all this ATi CTD business is. Is that a different crash?

I think most of these are a memory leak we are tracking.

To find out I need you guys to check your memory allocation in Task Manager/Processes/ww2.exe before you spawn. If you see it approaching 1.7GB and then crash you have the memory leak.

Please post that and post your crash address from the WW2_log.txt.

It'll look like this:

Renderer: ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series

Access violation: Illegal read by 006367FD at 682D169C

If you are not getting a mem leak crash please also post that so we can track that as a separate issue.

Watching the task manager the game tended to stay at 1.67GB of use for an extended period 30 minutes or so I just watched it while flying around antwerp brussels area. Finally it crashed above twerp with the AI flak firing. I am not sure the exact usage at crash, but it must have been close to 1.7GB.

I reinstalled new drivers recently and that seemed to help with certain CTD's this one felt more like the memory leak one.
