Can't get into the game.

Can you respond to the problem that we're having with this connection issue?

Jeeptj: my best guess is that they are not looking at this board, or the facebook page, or tweeting, until Monday when they all return from holiday break. I am not sure this is the case, but it seems to be the logical conclusion. Meaning I don't think they are fixing any Apple issues either. I am not sure, that's my best guess. I would expect some movement on this by Tuesday, but I wouldn't expect any communication from the company itself regarding these issues. They might decide to talk to the community, but I don't know. It's unfortunate that we lost playing time over the holiday, but there is no one to discuss that with, so I don't know what to tell you. Best thing to do is hold tight and keep trying to log in. I tried to log in about 20 times, and finally was able to get on and play for over 10 minutes without a CTD. So maybe someone is looking at it, I have no clue.*

Thanks guys. Programmers are looking at it but we cannot replicate here.

The "playnet.demarc.cogentco.com" bit is our firewall - you can't go past that with a traceroute - so that's fine.

The traceroutes to the .141 addresses look ok.

(Delems: Wireless bad! But looks ok (though there was one big burp on the first hop once to your wireless router - probably something else interfering). Please try a wired connection if you can.)

Nope. It seems to behave totally random, sometimes it works on 2nd try and others report up to 20 times until it finds the connection.

OS is no issue either, both 10.6 and 10.7 users get this problem.

Something that I had not noticed before: I thought before that the loader timed out *during* the search for the best connection, but when it crashes, at least now, looking carefully in the brief moment before the screen disappears I see the red loading indicator jump forward about 20% ---- as if it has finally agreed upon the connection, but that it is one of the *next* things that happens that causes the crash. Like the long wait for the resolution of the connection sets up the subseqent steps for failure. Hope this helps.
