so over the last few weeks i have been seeing more death lags and equipment taking no damage when fired at, mainly atgs and tanks, some of the time there is a delay of around 3-5 seconds between the shot connectiong and the effect taking place, i have recorded these two incidents tonight 27/10/16.

First one is a Panny that would not take any damage, this video was my 3rd Pak36 at the same spot shooting the same Pan, on the previus two attempts i had already placed a number of rounds into his wheels which would normally knock them off, on this 3rd attempt i tried it again with the same lack of effect, you can even see him moving the turret after turret shots, he does despawn but was killed by a rifles according to stats.

This 2nd video is of a fight with a Char and a s35 both take hits and there is a marked delay in the effects on both.

Heya @dm79 , see if you're still encountering these issues post patch or if they've improved at all and report back here when you have a moment. If you're still seeing the same issues (which I think you will) , let me know and I'll shoot you a PM on the forums and we'll see if you can't help us run some tests from your end to maybe pin-point the issue a bit more.

Will do. Thanks for reply.

This is normal
this campaign sometimes with a shot you kill a s35
or sometimes with 40 shots, not kill...

Pan is also well in this campaign

I do not speak any more in the game
just go out and I'll take a water and return to play...

The last patch CRS did not even know had set the range of Stug and 88...

I think I did a downgrade, not an upgrade ...

but for me is good!!!

Welcome to axis

this is happening for years already

and it gets worse over the time

last few days i had C7s taking 10 shots into turret frontally at 50m. aimed right hand of the barrel where it is weaker than anywhere else frontally. C7 ignored it

Shermans taking multi hits into flank (engine area and even below turret) by Tiger AP ammo at 500m. nothing

I noticed this the other night with an ei that I shot. Shot him, watched him kill one of my teammates and then he fell dead :)

Will also report if I see it in the patch.

Have this problem in the air about 15% of the time.  Either rounds go through the enemy aircrafts critical spots (engine , cockpit,, and yes Im a good shot) with no apparent hit registering. No cannon impacts exploding or anything.  Or other times the cannons will definitely make visible impact and detonate, but a surely lethal dose of ammo at convergence point blank cant miss range gives no apparent damage to the enemy aircraft. No wing falling off, no fire, no smoking at all.

I sometimes wonder if its me, but I just bought a new bad a$$ machine and it still happens fairly commonly. And other times, ammo works perfectly.

Some users who are on lower end connections have a tendency to generate this issue on occasion, either as the prey or the predator. There's a lot of different things that take place here to make a hard assessment based on the limited technical data we have to work with. I would suggest conducting a .REPORT in-game next time it happens, especially if that individual happens to kill you and you have their name, that is very beneficial.

The take away here is not to assume the player is cheating or doing something wrong, this sort of stuff just happens every so often. That doesn't mean we're not working on it but technical issues and oddities will for ever exist in our game (like every other piece of software on planet earth).

Since the last patch something happens to me a lot. Come around a corner, face to face with ei rifle, and before I can twitch, scratch or aim, let alone fire my SMG, the eRifle pulls a bead, fires, and single-shot kills. Every time it is smg vs. rifle .... Every time the outcome is exactly the same ... Before I can even spray a salvo in any direction from my smg, I am already dead. Again, this is new since the last patch, is obviously a result being produced from the new predictor code, and, I am not the only one experiencing this .... other squaddies are now reportng the same thing. Soemtimes the range is short and closing, with both of us running toward one another. i.e. 5' or less.

It is hard to get good aim with a rifle when an enemy is that close, and running toward you. The SMG should always have an advantage in such an encounter.

Are German SMG's seeing the same thing in encounters with Allied rifles?

Listen, a lot of players are really good at putting YOU in the center of the screen and just firing from the hip -and killing you. That's just experience winning out in a close quarter encounter against another player.

This game doesn't pretend that ANY human being could EVER live past being hit with an 8MM or comparable rifle round in the chest.

There's a lot of velocity in one of those, and they WRECK a person when they make contact.

You shouldn't make it past being hit once with a rifle bullet to the chest. That would be Call of DOODIE. We don't play that.

It's not hard to run around and fire one from the hip when you absolutely have to, a lot of players do it. I've been playing for many years and still can't fully depend on my own ability to do that trick.

I've heard some players physically place a little dot in the exact center of the screen and use that as a reference, but I've never done it.

PS: I've been rifled plenty of times while using the SMG.

It's a great close quarter weapon if you have it raised, less so if you spray and pray outside of 15ft.

Try and you'll see.

Maybe next time just hit the fire button without aiming. You may get lucky.

Nope, sorry, this has changed. I'm not just suddenly (the last week and a half) encountering "good" players for the first time in fifteen years. ...... And I'm not the only one that has noticed this either.

@snappled under your game preferences > Connection > Visibility Limit --- what is it set too currently?

"High" ... interesting question.

further info: Yesterday I took an engineer out to attack an EFMS that was being actively defended. Rising up over a berm I came face to face with an ESMG that was already prone and facing directly toward me. Aiming wouldn't even have been necessary for him, all he needed to do was squeeze the trigger ... range was about fifteen feet. I fully expected to die. I raised my rifle though, aimed with range set incorreclty (default 200m) and got the kill. I mention this as it isn't a rant against German equipment ... It obviously goes both ways. This is a new phenomenom (Quickdraw Rifle) that has just emerged with the latest predictor code. And in my view, it is not working correctly ....

The initial feedback post 1.35.5.4 , when we released the predictor code hotfix, was that this scenario had improved for the majority of players. Unfortunately, the complexities of the internet itself will never make things perfect for everyone.  Having said that - I'm going to keep my ear to the ground for any uptick in reporting. More than a few people have made posts since the start of the campaign indicating that their squad mates are also seeing the issue. I encourage you all to use .bug in-game , when these things occur , this allows us to go back through logs and use time-stamps to see if anything was going on that should not have been.

Tell your squadmates ! Use .bug!

also @snappled and @major0noob - could you both please post your system specs in this thread? It would be great if you could post your dxdiag.

To do this , press Windows+R and type in dxdiag. On the window that appears , select the tab on the bottom titled "Save All Information"
Save the text file to your desktop , open it up , and then copy and paste it into this thread of via a PM to me on the forums.

CQB bind your x button to fire the riffle. Your first shot hits center screen 90% of the time. The problem is getting used to doing that. Bar showed me this little trick and when I remember to use it cause it is seemingly difficult to do so in those senerios but when I do, I often get first kill. Bar is an expert at that little tid bit.

How the hell did that S35 not kill you first? You where receiving crew damage from the rear hits. That S35 should have sliced through your stug with no problem at that range.

Can definitely attest the damage system is out of whack. Can cut a guy shoulder to shoulder and paint the wall in his blood and watch him kill me while I reload then move on to kill several others. Even had one today run through an active inf spawn and stab 3 people. Didn't even register damage on the AAR. And I can vouch for being the beneficiary of this bug as well. But spawn after spawn after spawn today was 0 kills 0 damage even though there was no doubt they were hit. Some of the longest dry streaks I have ever had. And it isn't fun.

yesterday i drove into a town with a S35, took at least all of a stug's HEAT point blank from behind, shot him up a few times with no effect.

this was all under 10m, i noticed 0-200m(ish) is completely random. ether shoot em till your out of ammo, it works as expected, or they WTF explode from unlikely places and weapons. been worse than usual lately.
