Just recently  I had one of those ppo barbed wire fences between me and an EI , clear view of him me laying on the ground , close distance took 3 shots iron sights on him , he did not die , seemed like the shots did not go through the PPO  anyone else have that?

Yep. There are colliders in the wire, albeit thin ones. If you fire "well clear" of the wire-strands you won't have a issue, if you're firing "near" the wire-strands you may do. The same applied to ATG's firing from within ATG pits, if wire is placed in front. A very useful change in game would be for different forms of collider to be created, so that, for example, wire (or hedgelines) are always permeable to gunfire but impermeable to infantry movement, impermeable to wheeled vehicle movement, but permeable - with difficulty by tracked vehicles. Destroyable colliders might also be useful.

you can probably place PPO wire obstacles against a building in game, then MG the wall with a vertical burst. With a bit of luck the hit-sprites on the wall behind will give some indication of the collider positions....if you want to test it?
