Each of you was instrumental on the early morning of 24 June in staving off repeated Allied attempts to take Nivelles away from us, at times outnumbered more than two to one.

 

Your steadfast determination to hold this town paved the way for our efforts later in the day as we continue our march to the Atlantic shore! Each of you have earned the Defense of the Fatherland badge!
