Strange Joystick Bug (Possible)

Yesterday while flying. I type in chat to report EA. The second I hit enter, I lost all input controls on my joystick. I could still type, move mouse in freelook, everything except any joystick controls. Happened right after I hit enter on typing. Couldn't replicate, but saving here for reference if something like this happens again. It may be tied to the game "thinking" I still had chat bar open or something.
