AMD: Crash during load at Vehicle initialization (online only)

UPDATE: New executable to resolve the persona select issue.

Several of you have reported at crash at vehicle initialization online with an AMD.

If you answer yes to all of these questions then please continue. Otherwise these are not the bugs you are looking for *waves hand*.

1) Are you running an AMD Athalon Porcessor?

2) Are you crashing when loading the game?

3) Do you crash when the loading bar read "initializing vehicles"

If so then:

1) download this file

2) Run the zip file

3) Unzip to your game directory (default is C:\Program Files\CRS\Battleground Europe

4) You should be prompted to overwrite the file ww2_x86.exe

5) Overwrite it

6) Make sure you have sse2 unselected in your settings

7) Launch the game

8) report back here on yout status

Wasn't supposed to. Your video card is not supported. You might try a newer driver but not the 9.5 catalyst. Also make sure your card is selected in Settings. Please start a new thread if the problem persists.

Yes to all three questions.

I noticed in off line it acts like its going to CTD at the same spot but doesn't.

When I first spawn in FPS fluctuates from 40's to 5's have to wait a couple mins for it to settle down before I can even move my unit, in other words it acts what I usually see when I spawn into a camped ab online. I can only imagine that 1.3 online is worse for me

This may be the end of the line for me if offline is any indication.

My pc's really really old, just cant afford an upgrade for now

I was able to replicate the crash to the brigade screen. Working on it...

Well I tried new fix but got the following message "This application has failed to start because cg.dll was not found, reinstalling the application may fix this problem".

Which application?

Ok. I fixed the crash for me (going to the brigade screen). We will have a test exe shortly.

same issues with nvidia 7x series drivers black screen then down as soon as you spawn in.

working on finding a good workaround will post on it as soon as i solve the problem on my end.

*note tested 7x series drivers from nvidia on 5 different pc's and 2 laptop's problem is definately driver related, as the only pc i have that is using the 8x series driver works fine.
