I see it as soon as I click ok on the settings screen after the install is done, or when I try to launch the game

I had the same install errors. I have BE installed on the E:\ drive. On my system it seems playgate wants its files in

c:\program files(x86)\CRS\Battleground Europe\ (on my system) and will crap out if it doesn't find them there.

The easy, not so elegant fix is to shadow the path where your wwiionline files are installed to system\program files(x86)... and then copy the files from your battleground europe folder there.

Hey! I never said I was elegant! But it works, at least on my 64 bit Win 7 system.

Edit: Oh yeah, I downloaded 1346 from the downloads page, uninstalled the old wwiionline before the new install, cleaned the registry, cleaned the drives, rebooted, installed twice running the exe. file as administrator the second time and then rebooted again, then did the fix. Voila, everything works perfectly. Your mileage may vary.

Hm. GOPHUR's file allowed me to get into the playgate launcher screen but after logging in it's starting to download the patch again. Still getting the registry error thing if I launch playgate.exe directly.

So whenever PlayGATE tries to launch but if you reinstall the old PlayGATE it doesn;t work....

If you have the beta installed what happens when you run the PlayGATE in that directory?

Are you all administrators?

Do you have the game in a non default directory?

Well fudge I deleted it.

I never use the shortcut, sounds like it doesn't like calling the playgate. I'll have to look at that.

Are you all administrators?

Do you have the game in a non default directory?

NOTHING has changed...everything is exactly how it was before the patch.

run as admin, same exact directory as before (when it worked)

should i format my windows, maybe that will work?

sorry if i seem frustrated but when the release of the patch was mentioned my initial reaction was to gringe...and for good reason!

Heh yeah, I edited my post a second after. Same thing for me, it lets me login then when I try and enter the campaign server it starts the patch download.

I am the Administrator and I've tried installing it in the default C:\ path and to a clean path on another HD. Neither works.

i never downloaded the beta because of this fear right here.

that it would cause a problem with my system and make the game unplayable for me.

unless its REALLY needed i wont download anything for this game.

That was a bug in the old playgate. If you tried to use the beta playgate to launch the live game it would try and patch it to the beta version. Something definitely funky there.

That was a bug in the old playgate. If you tried to use the beta playgate to launch the live game it would try and patch it to the beta version. Something definitely funky there.

Tried x2 on 3 accounts 3 different computers....did one on a air card...

NO LUCK! same as above.....registry errors.....

on WinXP, I fixed my issue by manually editing the path in my registry from "F:\PROGRA~1\CRS\BATTLE~1\" to "F:\Program Files\CRS\Battleground Europe".

I then faced a Map Host error, and am now meeting Miss Error 10057.
