My registry has a lot of references to

D:\PROGRA~1\CRS\BATTLE~2\wwii1.ico,-0

My default drive is D so that's ok

I have a BATTLE~1 but not a BATTLE~2

I have Programme Files but not PROGRA~1 or anything that could contract down to that.

Hope this helps.

If it runs on yours and not on ours then filepaths is a possibility - maybe your computers have folders that ours do not have?

Quite happy to go over my registry with you on TS or even have you look at my pc via teamviewer if you wish.

EDIT : I have tried creating BATTLE~2 etc. with the appropriate file but no joy. You need to see where your working pc differs from mine or another that is not working.

Works for mine as well with the the other playgate134 file - works and plays as well. The Allied ranks have all matched up i.e. french and allied army ranks are now the same all the way up to presumably rank 13. Thanks for that and the new mission creation ranks.

Please try this short-term workaround:

- Open notepad, type in:

1.34.6.255

- (don't hit return at the end)

- Select File >> Save As

- Change "Save as type" to "All files"

- In "File name" type: manifest

- Save to desktop.

- Close notepad.

- Drag file to your Battleground Europe folder.

- Try playgate again.

Just to make you know. I got the same error message as the rest of the guys. I hope the game will be fixed & activated soon. I just reentered the game some weeks ago. I feel that there are more breakdowns now, than before. I can't understand why that is. Its a good game and there are great potentials. Pity with all the tecnical problems.

worked fine after that playgate patch....got in and played for atleast an hour with no issues other then one time not being able to see marks on my map but that was fixed after a respawn.

like the new camo for the helmets....not enough ppl to wear them unfortunatley.

I think all the people trying to redownlad the file are having a long wait like myself now.

2.5 hours downloading. I get to 1005 and it does nothing. Just sits at 100%.

I close, and open login again and it executes the patch.

I go through the normal install process. At the end of it I get the corrupt message.

I tried the short-term workaround posted by KFS1 and when I click on wwii icon on desktop get the corrupt message immediately.

I am extremely frustrated.

As a test run this after you've updated to 1.34.6:

It's either 1) the new playgate not playing nice or 2) corrupt download.

Since ramp was just working on the server to increase download speed I bet 2 but 1 is entirely possible.

Uninstalled everything related to this game. Redownloaded the full game from website. No dice....is downloading MUCH faster....only took 10 mins. Then i downloaded what gopher said and still got an error message BUT it did allow me to log in and play....played for roughtly 40 mins with zero probelms.

Just downloaded at 1.5MB the whole way. Also i didnt save it i just ran it not that it probably matters but they time I saved it was corrupt. Again prolly not anything but I like to give as much detail as i can.

Just started to Dl from main page. Highspeed cable and getting around 60kbps/sec

FOUR FU^&ING HOURS PREDICTED FOR DOWNLOAD.

I finally got a version down, got it loading, but it took forever, I figured I must have a corrupted version, reloaded it AGAIN, reran with the playgate client patch, still get

And I don't get into the menus until 5 minutes later.

I eventually got in but got no brigade flags.

Tried again, got Map Host 40110.

UI Error in 1.34.6

When you R-Click on main map (and are not in a mission much less a mission leader), you get the option to "Set Waypoint"

See posting in mac help, but quick summary: game DLs just fine and tries to load, but quits after 30 seconds of 'finding best connection'. Tried best, primary and secondary, none work. So, DL fine, install fine, but can't find / connect to server.
