Cap timers broke.

The chart says with max over pop - 2players should cap in 150 seconds.

There were 2 players in CP and the cap bar barely budged.

What is wrong with cap timers?

today in St Vith we were even 5 players in 1 CP with max overpop ... but took us like 5 mins at least and then you defend a CP ... get killed by 1 EI ... you respawn instantly and get back into C

The only time capture timers are complained about, is when the side on the offensive cannot completely overwhelm the underpopulated side. The timers are working as intended and they're doing their job

today in St Vith we were even 5 players in 1 CP with max overpop ... but took us like 5 mins at least

and then you defend a CP ... get killed by 1 EI ... you respawn instantly and get back into CP ... but it is already up to 50% cap. LOL !!

Reports are cap timers are broke again --- they get messed up with tier change?

Why does this keep happening?  Fix the cap timers.

Just tested, solo cap took 6 min;   should only take 5 min at max OP.

Just tested in map 182, my capture time solo was over 8 min......

Max ever timer should be 5 min for solo, even with max OP.

I'll test again-- but capture timers seem way messed up.

I was under the impression cap timers could go longer then baseline if you are on the OP side.

That is longer, baseline is 4 min; max OP is 25% more as stated, so 5 min tops.

Still seems off.

Took 3 min for 2 of us to recap at max over pop.

Should be only 2.5 min.

Are the capture timers set to as last posted?

Happened right now:

- Allies are overpop

- Axis doing a sneaky attack on Walsoorden

- Me and about 10 axis soldiers enter the spawnable

- Cap timer goes way too slow ... for about 10 soldiers being on the underpop side

- Earlier on allies defended Aarschot and 1 EI recapped city CP within 1-2 mins

 

I cant repeat it often enough ... fix this !!

Only thing is - Allies were not overpop, and have not been overpop really in the past 4 hours or so ... 60/40 Axis advantage on average. Maybe it is the spawn delay that is broken?

Just capped Couvin city CP by myself and it took exactly 8 minutes, lol and takes Allied 30s to recap... 

7SD on Axis....

And how is it exactly you are judging whether you are overpop or underpop? Side delay and spawn delay? I looked at the timeframe undercova was talking about and Axis were overpop. Infact the averaged 60/40 advantage. You realize that some players login 4 or 5 accounts at times ... each one counts ya'know.

 

Anyways ... i agree it should never take 8 min to cap something ... if that is true it is ridiculous.

Let me be perfectly blunt here.

There is NO reason for these timers to be borked.

NONE.

Fix them -- getting down right ludicrous.

I've personally timed them;  they are WRONG.... FIX THEM.

1) SD

2) Capture timers

3) Enter World bug

Now, you are right...  maybe we ARE NOT over pop -- but the system indicators are all saying we are..... system broke?

No clue. I was just citing the one example. Could be SD borked and giving wrong signals just as easy as the cap timers are broke. Or - they have detached logic on how they are calculated somehow - and it sends conflicting messages. Anyhow - I agree 8 min is crazy long.

Please just post what the capture timers are then - if not going to fix them.

Why is this not corrected?

Again, timed and at least 7 min 40 sec for solo capture.

How can game publish capture timers - and they be wrong?

Why can't this simple thing be fixed?  Going on 2 months.......

QA team never managed to confirm 8 minutes cap so far. Nor did I. It's 6 minutes for me when we OP, always.

 

please record your caps with a video, type .time at the beginning and .time at the end. So we can check the exact pop balance at that time
