just checked numbers on both sides right now at Rozoy ..

- SYSTEM says axis are overpop

- axis have 5-10 secs SD

- axis need like 8 mins to cap a CP

- no EA or axis planes overhead

- town down to AB because allies can cap all CPs in super duper time while axis need like 6 mins to recap

- allies had more players in all missions together. axis like 25% less

It's amazing how few people can do maths.

Per the wiki article, the % of overpop equals the % modifier to the capture timers; this modifier is applied to both sides.  The wiki article is somewhat outdated, as the capture timer modifier now maxes out at 66% instead of 50%.

That means that, for one capper at the maximum modifier of 66%:

overpop capture time = 240*1.66 = 398.4 seconds, or 6 minutes and 38.4 seconds.

and

underpop capture time = 240*0.34 = 81.6 seconds, or 1 minute and 21.6 seconds.

If there are instances of 8-minute capture timers, I have no idea how that could even happen.

@OHM Do you know how often the server checks the server balance and recomputes the capture timers?

Sampling is 30sec

Was this all done within the 30-second sampling that Ohm just cited?  If not, the values for every variable could be different throughout your analysis.

Likewise, with the paltry numbers the game has these days, one or two players leaving/switching can make a big shift in the timers.

in 1 min for both sides

and there was no swinging overpop/underpop at that time too
