Does the affinity have to be set every time the game is launched. Is there a way to make it a permanant setting.Switching to both core's fixed the map for me.

For everyone experiencing this issue I need some info:

- what OS and version

- what CPU are you running

- have you previously messed around with any settings outside the game like core affinity or any of the other "miracle fixes from the forums"

I have two accounts and computers that get this bug.

1) Microsoft windows XP Pro (5.1,build 2600)

AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual core Processor 4600+, MMX, 3DNow (2 cpus)

2) Microsoft windows XP Pro (5.1,build 2600)

AMD Phenom 9600 quad-core Processor 4600+, MMX, 3DNow (4 cpus) ~2.3 GHz

Both computers get this issue and the "change affinity" works to fix this.

When I run the Afinity set to all cpus it does tend to get a freez up that locks the game up. I do not have any way to know if this is a part of the "set afinity" or not but it seems to.

Thanks for your hard work Gophur.

intel core 2 duo 6600, xp pro sp3,

Setting the affinity to both cores makes the map work perfect every time. Why is this not a default setting??

Ok a few days of playing.

If I set the affinity to use all the cpus on both coms I get hcl with in 45 min.

If I do not set the affinity I play all night.

I have no white but the map is blurry for a second or two. The same happens here, if I set affinity to all cores the blurryness goes away.

Possible work around for single core P4 (Northwood) 3.0 800 FSB HT

Disable HT

Launch game>CTL ALT DLT (to bring up processes)> right clic WW2SSE2> set to "HIGH" priority or "REALTIME"

The white squares are still there but less frequent and less persistant, and now I can zoom in full. I have only tested this for about 20 min. will test further. One thing is you have to do this everytime you Load the game.

Vidcard is EVGA E-GEFORCE GTX 260 SSC 896MB

sys ram is 4GB

i can now fix it by setting affinity to both cores.

As an update, this problem has got worse over the last few days. Originally the problem would gradually clear after a while, with the map detail gradually "filling in", especially if I zoomed in and out.

Now the map is always completely white apart from the towns, FBs and any target markers. It never clears however long it is left open.

Update: at 23.20 GMT the map background changed from white to green. At 23.22 GMT large parts of the map detail returned - not completely fixed but much better. **EDIT** Whatever the change was only lasted 10 minutes - back to white map again now

I get this since the latest large patch 2,9 ....map renders white and it clears sometimes of white if i zoom in or out but still goes back to white. If i zoom out a lot and everything is white my FPS GOES LOW LOW until i zoom in or close the map.

My specs :

2,9ghZ pentium 4

7600 gs (256 vram)

OS : Win xp sp 3

I run xfire in background , but bet it's not that hehe :P

I never messed with the out-of-game settings nor with the infinity thing or however it's called. Please guys fix this , it's very annoying to have a white map :(

I have same problem since 1.29...

XP SP3

Athlon 64 3500+

Nvidia 7600GS 256

2GB RAM

I have installed all game again, and this have not solve the problem.

This white issue increases a lot fps's and gives lag to the game when in map.

hope you can solve this asap because is very difficult to play without map.

S!
