OK boys. This is where we separate the wheat from the chaff. Generally I leave these types of things to the closed team but a lot of you are doing outstanding work and I can use your help.

We've basically got the floating building business fixed up. However, there are some times where non-planar terrain might run a seam under a building and it might float. In 1.30 this would be no issue but the way terrain works in 1.31 this can be a PIA.

So we need to check all towns for floating buildings. Do the easy ones first. The urbans are probably all good too. I've got a buzzard so I can check what's left.

So if you want to help, pick some towns off the list. I'd pick a random alphabetical order. Then reply like this:

St.Avold - fixed

St.Hubert - fixed

St.Niklaas - not fixed

St.Omer - fixed

St.Pol - fixed

St.Quentin - fixed

St.Ricquier - not fixed

St.Truiden - fixed

I did not test these towns. If you want you can claim some towns in your post and do them later cool. I'll take your post and mark off the master list then zero out your post. (Any mods can help with that too).

HOW TO TEST THOSE TOWNS:

Please use 1.31.0.39 (or newer if released)

1) Start the beta game client in OFFLINE MODE

2) Choose a unit

3) Switch to theater map

4) Choose a spawn point in any town

5) Press "Enter world"

I'll go ahead and take your list:

St.Avold - fixed - Just rechecked this and I missed that this AB bunker is also up about an inch. Going to restart game and check again.

St.Hubert -

AB Bunker floating about 1 inch:

St.Niklaas - NAB and SAB bunkers both floating about 1 inch, same as St. Hubert. Took screens if you want.

St.Omer - Ugh, is this one of the big towns we don't need to sweat right now? I tried a pass of the East side of town and got a little done.

Every instance of this building on the East side floating about an inch:

Is there a threshold you care about? Are buildings floating an inch worth bothering with?

It has 2 problems, NAB walls are floating in a few sections:

For blocks of buildings, if one edge or side looks good can we assume the whole thing is good or do we need to hit every street and alley?

Ramet - not fixed (only problem = 1/2 kilom south of town at top of hill the white posts with the red tops on either side of the road are floating. You can see them from town.

Remich - fixed, but I noticed the barn with the stone patio with the haystack and cart on it had a couple issues. The cart wheels are sunken into the stone floor. And the front edge of the patio is a little wonky. And the back corner horse stall horse doo-doo graphic is half missing. (Or somebody shoveled a nice straight edge when strarting to muck out.)

Cleaned out the thread. Please keep this focused on reporting towns as FIXED or reporting bugs concerning city layouts as requested by GOPHUR. Otherwise this will get way to complicated to track all the tested towns and bug reports. Thanks for your understanding.

Excellent reporting guys!! Please keep them coming! I will try to keep this as easy for GOPHUR as possible so this can be handled as efficient as possible.
